White Hall

White Memorial Hall was the center of life for the women of Tuskegee Institute. The building was gifted by Mr. Alfred T. White as a memorial to his father Alexander Moss White in 1910. Designed by Robert R. Taylor, White Hall is a three-story brick structure with about 23,000 square feet of space. The clock tower that sits atop White Hall was not originally in the plans. After the structure was completed, Mr. White did not like the way the building looked, thus the tower was added in 1913.
